The Advanced Journal of Engineering and Scientific Applications (AJESA) is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and research integrity.

The journal expects authors, reviewers, editors, and other participants in the publication process to act honestly, transparently, fairly, and responsibly.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must:

  • Submit original work;
  • Provide accurate research information;

  • Avoid fabrication and falsification;
  • Declare relevant conflicts of interest;
  • Obtain appropriate ethical approval where required;
  • Ensure appropriate authorship attribution;
  • Avoid duplicate submission and publication; and

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors must:

  • Evaluate manuscripts fairly;
  • Maintain confidentiality;
  • Avoid conflicts of interest;
  • Base editorial decisions on scholarly merit;
  • Treat authors and reviewers professionally;
  • Protect the integrity of the publication process; and
  • Respond appropriately to allegations of misconduct.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers must:

  • Maintain confidentiality;
  • Provide objective and constructive assessments;
  • Declare conflicts of interest;
  • Avoid using unpublished information for personal advantage;
  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited where appropriate; and
  • Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe where possible.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors should disclose financial, professional, personal, institutional, or other relationships that could influence the publication process.

Research Misconduct

AJESA takes allegations of research misconduct seriously. Where credible concerns arise, the journal may conduct an editorial investigation and, where appropriate, seek clarification from authors or their institutions.

Appropriate corrective action may include rejection, correction, expression of concern, or retraction.

Corrections and Retractions

AJESA is committed to correcting the scholarly record when errors or misconduct are identified.

The journal may publish:

  • Errata;
  • Corrigenda;
  • Expressions of Concern; or
  • Retractions,

depending on the nature and significance of the issue.
