AJESA recognizes the increasing use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in research, writing, programming, data analysis, translation, image generation, and other scholarly activities.
The journal permits the responsible use of AI tools while maintaining the principles of academic integrity, transparency, authorship responsibility, and research integrity.
Generative AI tools, including large language models and AI writing assistants, cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, originality, or ethical conduct of a published work.
Authors should disclose the use of generative AI when it has materially contributed to the preparation of a manuscript.

AI-generated information must be independently verified because generative AI systems may produce inaccurate, fabricated, or misleading information.
Authors must not submit AI-generated images, figures, datasets, experimental results, or other materials as genuine research outputs unless their use is scientifically justified, clearly disclosed, and permitted under applicable research standards.
Reviewers and editors must not upload confidential manuscripts, unpublished research, personal information, or other privileged materials into generative AI systems without appropriate authorization.
The confidentiality of submitted manuscripts must be maintained throughout the editorial process.
