Errata and Corrigenda Policy

AJESA recognizes that errors may occasionally be identified in published articles. The journal is committed to maintaining an accurate and reliable scholarly record.

Erratum

An erratum is published when an error introduced during the publication or production process affects the accuracy or presentation of a published article but does not invalidate the principal findings or conclusions.

Examples may include:

• Typographical errors;
• Formatting errors;
• Incorrect author affiliation;
• Errors in tables or figures introduced during production; or
• Other production-related inaccuracies.

Corrigendum

A corrigendum is published when an author identifies an error in the published article that requires correction but does not fundamentally invalidate the research.

Examples may include:

• Incorrect information;
• Minor errors in data presentation;
• Author information requiring correction;
• Errors in equations or descriptions that do not alter the principal conclusions.

Correction Procedure

Requests for corrections should be submitted to the journal editorial office and should clearly identify:

1. The article title;
2. Author(s);
3. Volume, issue, and publication year;
4. DOI or article URL, where applicable;
5. The location of the error; and
6. The proposed correction.

The Editor-in-Chief will assess the request and determine whether a correction is appropriate.

Publication of Corrections

Where approved, a correction notice will:

• Clearly identify the affected article;
• Describe the correction;
• Provide the corrected information;
• Link to the original article; and
• Remain part of the permanent scholarly record.

The original article will normally remain accessible, with an appropriate notice indicating that a correction has been issued.

Serious Errors

Where an error substantially affects the validity, reliability, or integrity of an article, the matter may require an Expression of Concern or Retraction rather than an erratum or corrigendum.
